Enough is Enough
Washington families and employers face ever-rising taxes even as state revenues keep growing on their own — driven by an expanding economy and a growing population. Higher taxes might be tolerable if the spending produced results. Instead, we see rising homelessness, more crime, worsening congestion, and regulation that makes life and business harder.
In 2025, Olympia enacted the largest tax increase in state history — roughly $12 billion in new burdens — and passed a likely unconstitutional income tax that will, over time, reach every Washington taxpayer. And when voters push back, politicians go to court against the will of the people and return to Olympia to pass still more.
Washington State’s high taxes are making it harder for:
Job creators to start and grow businesses in our state
Residents to stay in their homes
Everyone in Washington to afford the quality of life we all deserve.
It’s time we stop the runaway taxes hurting our friends, neighbors, and everyone working hard to stay in their homes, keep their jobs, and feed their families.
